So I was in Guardian today. I was with my dad in the fragrance section, and I saw this
The Axe Dark Temptation
I've always found Axe disgusting. The smell is just horrible to bear. It truly defines cheap perfumes IMHO
But, I am a great fan of gourmand fragrances (scents that are inspired from food)
So, I decided to give it a spray
The scent was surprisingly invigorating. It smelt deliciously sweet of dark chocolate with a subtle hint of jackfruit.
A real great smell (something i would buy)
But in just less than 10 seconds, the fragrance moved on to its middle notes. WTF? It was less than 5 seconds actually.
And that's why you should never expect more from an aerosol spray fragrance.
The middle notes were horrid. Much of the choc scent faded away, making it smell more like a sweet powdery fragrance than a gourmand. But it still retained its sheer sweetness which combined with its powdery notes to form a really nauseating stench.
I hated it
Dont ask me about the base notes. I washed it off as soon as I got back
An atrociously cheap scent, in my opinion
And those adverts keep saying that it will get girls running. Yea, they will run, but AWAY from you
I dunno about you guys, but I found the Axe Chocolate Man advertisement really creepy and disturbing
