the things you don't know about L'oreal

So first thing's first. Technically L'oreal is not a brand, it's a company. In fact, L'oreal is the largest cosmetics company in the world.

And trust me, L'oreal is really LARGE. Apart from L'oreal Paris and L'oreal Paris Professional, it's signature brands, L'oreal owns a lot of cosmetic brands out there (we will get to that later)

so here are some facts about L'oreal

1. L'oreal's founder, Eugene Schueller, was the inventor of the synthetic hair dye
2. There are more than 20 brands out in the market that is under L'oreal.
3. L'oreal has always been condemned as they have been known to carry out animal testing.

And what are the brands under L'oreal anyway?

Here's a few examples that might ring a bell

1. L'oreal Paris

2. L'oreal Paris Professional

3. Kerastase

4. Garnier

5. Redken 5th Avenue

6. Kiehl's

7. Maybelline New York

8. Lancome

9. Yves Saint Laurent

10. Shu Uemura

11. The Body Shop

12. Vichy

13. Giorgio Armani

14. Pureology

15. Matrix

Impressive, no?

We might think that there are a lot of cosmetics company out there, but that is actually the brands. If we were to narrow them down to the number of companies, don't be surprised, but there actually might be less than 10 companies having their brands sold on the racks around you.

I used to eff-ing hate L'oreal

Why?

Jeng jeng jeng.

I may talk about it one day. But not now, so stay tuned to find out more :P

I used to always say I.never would use lo'real products because some their their product they animal.test.on and put them in danger. But if I ever try to stop using this company. It would.be difficult because they are partnered with most brands I use.

I do think in fairness you have forgotten (hopefully not on purpose) to mention the money they have spent on aleternatives to animal testing
'Since the 80's, L’Oréal has invested €900 million in researching alternatives to animal testing for product safety, using methods such as reconstructed skin models, like the Episkin model[21] at their research centers in Gerland, France, and Pudong, China.[22]

Nevertheless, this is complicated by markets such as China,[23] where animal testing of all cosmetics for human use is obligatory.[24] Cosmetics by brands such as The Body Shop, which refuses to do animal tests, are thus not available on the Chinese market.

In 2013, L’Oréal was part of a consortium calling on the EU to invest more in research on alternatives to animal testing.[25]- WIKIPEDIA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L%27Or%C3%A9al#cite_note-64)
